Offices and Programs Heading link Copy link Accelerate Your Success Program that offers an opportunity to a limited number of students to earn a scholarship toward summer tuition when enrolling in at least 5 credit hours in UIC’s Summer Session. Academic Programs Supports the colleges in the creation and revision of their curricula, and advises on issues of educational policy. Accreditation UIC completed a comprehensive review and on-campus evaluation site visit by the Higher Learning Commission in March 2024. Academic Program Review and Assessment Coordinates the campus-wide academic program review and assessment of student learning. Advising Development The mission of the Office of Advising Development is to ensure successful undergraduate educational experiences at UIC. Army ROTC The UIC Army ROTC program commissions officers for Active, Guard, or Reserve service. Curricular Analytics Tools that allow departments to visualize their curricula and degree plans in an effort to analyze how these impact student progress and completion. DuSable Scholars Program A community of students, faculty and staff working towards achieving excellence in academics and research, to identify and support talented Black and Native American students who are underrepresented in STEM fields. External Fellowships OEF provides extensive advisement and assistance to current UIC undergraduate and professional school students, and to recent alumni, in finding and applying for nationally- and internationally-competitive fellowships. Office of High School Development Coordinates UIC's involvement with UIC College Preparatory High School. L@S GANAS Academic support office for Latinx students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. PAP STEM Initiative This initiative enables President’s Award Program scholars majoring in STEM disciplines to join a network with their peers and faculty in the scientific community. STEM students conduct research, make connections, and enhance their experience at UIC. Research on Student Success Conducts research to inform the development of programs and initiatives to address issues related to student success. Student Success and Belonging The Office of Student Success and Belonging cultivates an inclusive culture and provides opportunities for students from all backgrounds to thrive at UIC. Student Systems Services The Office of Student Systems Services (OSSS) supports the UIC campus administrative and college units, faculty, and students in their use of UI-Integrate/Banner and related student systems. Summer Session Students can stay on track for graduation by choosing from nearly 300 courses. Transfer Articulation and Degree Audit (TADA) TADA maintains uAchieve, the university’s degree audit system; coordinates the articulation of undergraduate transfer courses; and edits and publishes the university catalogs.
